Author Visits

IMG_5246With six years of teaching under her belt, as well as her California and Washington State teaching certificates, Jennifer Bardsley enjoys sharing her love of writing with students of all ages.

From 2009-20011 she served on the board of the Edmonds Public Schools Foundation. In 2011 Jennifer founded the educational advocacy website Teaching My Baby to Read. In 2012 she began writing a weekly newspaper column called I Brake for Moms for The Everett Daily Herald. On September 27, 2016 Jennifer’s debut YA novel, Genesis Girl, will be published by Month9Books.

In spring of 2016 Jennifer is offering free author visits to local middle school and high school classrooms (not auditoriums) in King, Snohomish and Island counties. Starting in fall of 2016 author visits will require a $75 honorarium.

Jennifer has two, 45 minute workshops to choose from:

  • An insider’s look into how books get published featuring an interactive game
  • A cell-phone-based writing lesson about using the same skills we need to craft a good thesis statement to write posts on social media that make a positive impact
