Wanted: A woman who believes in love at first sight, who isn’t afraid of indulging in cupcakes, whose mind is open to the mysteries of the universe, and who would zip into a 1940s vintage dress in a heartbeat. If any of those descriptions describe you, then you’ve got to read Summer of Supernovas by Darcy Woods.
The main character is a teenage girl named Wil who is an avid astrology buff. Wil believes she must find her true love in the next month…or else the stars will doom her to ten years of loneliness. Summer of Supernovas is a fun and flirty romantic comedy that will have you laughing on one page and tearing up on the next.
Woods does a fabulous job crafting her characters. Every single person has a back story that reveals slowly, deliciously, page by page. Wil is a heroine to root for, but so are her supporting cast of best friend, grandmother and various heartthrobs.
