The YA Gal’s 2015 Summer Reading List

When I was growing up one of my favorite parts of summer was tackling whatever summer reading list the teacher passed out. Other kids might have seen the list and groaned, but I would stare at the piece of paper with an “I-will-crush-you!” gleam in my eye and race to my local library.

Last week I asked friends of The YA Gal Facebook page to help me craft a 2015 Summer Reading list of five books. There were so many wonderful suggestions, that I couldn’t limit myself to five books. All of these are “must reads” in the YA community. I can’t consider myself and educated YA reader without knowing them, could I? Of course not! That’s why I chose seven.

I ordered them straight from Amazon and they should arrive today. Can’t wait!

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, Book 1) by Cassandra Clare
Paper Towns by John Green
If I Stay Gayle Forman
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

Your reading list is so doable!! I put together a list of about 30 books I want to read this summer, and I keep getting distracted by other books. *sigh*
